Event & Retreat Cancellation Policy

Events and UK day/ half-day retreats · Jul 1, 2026

Booking your place

When you book an Innergised event or retreat, that place is held for you specifically. Each event/ retreat is built around a small group, and the venue, catering, materials and preparation are committed well ahead of the day — and a place that opens up late usually stays empty. This policy applies to all Innergised events and retreats in the UK, where payment is taken in full at the time of booking. It sets out what happens if your plans change, and what you can expect from us if ours do.

We have written it to be clear and fair in both directions. Where there is room for flexibility, you will find it below.

Cancelling your place

Refunds follow the notice you are able to give, measured from the date your cancellation reaches us to the start time of the retreat.

With 28 days' notice or more, we refund your fee in full. You are equally welcome to move your place to a future event or retreat, or to pass it to someone else, whichever suits you best.

Between 14 and 27 days, we refund half of your fee. Moving your place to a future date or passing it to someone else remains available, and either of those keeps the whole value of your booking.

Between 7 and 13 days, your fee is retained in full, as our costs are committed by this point. Your place stays fully transferable, so you can still move it to a future date or pass it to someone else.

Within 7 days of the event, your fee is retained in full. Passing your place to someone else stays open to you right up to the start time, so your booking keeps its value.

The sliding scale reflects the point at which costs become committed on our side. Beyond 28 days, there is usually time to offer the place to someone else. Inside a week, the venue, catering, materials and preparation are already paid for.

Choosing a transfer or a substitute keeps the full value of your booking, at any point on this scale.

Transferring your place

Two routes keep the full value of your booking, whatever notice you are able to give.

Moving to a future date: Your place carries across to any Innergised retreat within the following six months, subject to availability. One transfer is included; a further move is treated as a fresh booking. Where the new retreat costs more, the difference is payable at the time of transfer. Transfers are available up to seven days before the retreat.

Sending someone else: You are welcome to pass your place to another person at any time, including on the day itself. Simply send me their name and email address, and I will take care of the rest directly with them. Any payment between the two of you is yours to arrange.

Substitutions cost you nothing, keep the group full, and are the route I recommend whenever a friend, family member or colleague can step in.

If I need to change an event or retreat

On the rare occasion that we move or cancel an event/ retreat, you choose what happens next:

● A full refund of everything you have paid, returned within 14 days

● Your place moved to the rescheduled date or another retreat of your choosing

● A credit held for six months, to use whenever it suits you

Any event or retreat runs with a minimum of six participants. Where a retreat falls below that number, we will let you know at least seven days ahead and offer you the same three choices.

Our responsibility covers the value of your booking. Travel, accommodation and any other arrangements you make around a retreat sit outside this policy, so travel insurance is worth considering where those costs are significant.

Illness and exceptional circumstances

Life occasionally intervenes in ways nobody plans for. Where something significant happens close to a retreat — illness, a bereavement, a family emergency — please tell us, whatever the notice.

In those situations we will usually offer a transfer to a future date, and I keep discretion to go further where it feels right. This sits outside the scale above and is offered case by case rather than as an entitlement.

If you feel unwell on the day itself, staying at home is the right call for you and for everyone else in the room. Let us know, and we will find a future date that works.

Arriving late, and non-attendance

Retreats begin promptly at the advertised time, and the opening settles the group for everything that follows. Please plan to arrive fifteen minutes early so you can settle in unhurried.

Where a session is already under way, we will welcome you in at the first natural break or opportunity, so the group stays undisturbed. Arriving after the start keeps your booking valid for the remainder of the day.

A booking where nobody attends and no notice reaches us is retained in full.

How to cancel or transfer

Email us at [email protected] with your name and the retreat date. A cancellation takes effect from the moment your email reaches us, and that timestamp sets where you sit on the scale above.

We will confirm within two working days. Where a refund is due, it returns to your original payment method within 14 days of that confirmation.

For anything you would rather talk through, we can arrange a telephone or online meeting and we will sort it out together.
